Wellness essentials for travel

Wellness Essentials for Travel - Land Fresher, Not Frazzled.

Airports, time zones and cabin air can really drain your battery. We’ve all been there - getting home and feeling like we need another holiday just to recover! Over the years, I’ve added small, feel-good habits to my travel routine so I can feel my ‘best cellf’ wherever I am in the world.

In this blog post, I’m sharing my go-to tips and favourite products for a more rejuvenating flight: trusty wired headphones (no Bluetooth), blue-light-blocking glasses to shut out harsh cabin light, the perfect compression socks, our PEMF Belt for on-the-go pain relief and smart luggage that keeps essentials within reach.

Keep this as a friendly checklist for smoother flights, work or play, so you land revitalised and ready for the adventure ahead!

PEMF Belt

The newest addition to the BEST CELLF range is our PEMF Belt - and it’s an absolute game-changer for travel! With its rechargeable, cordless design, it’s perfect for in-flight aches and pains (goodbye, back pain) and ideal for popping under a pillow for circadian support.

Blue and Green Light-Blocking Glasses

Block harsh artificial light that disrupts your circadian rhythm by wearing blue light-blocking glasses. Our red-lens glasses block 100% of blue and green light - perfect for preparing your body for sleep.

Hydration Supplements

I always bring a jar or stick packs of mineral/hydration supplements when I travel. Not just for the flight when I need extra hydration, but at my destination too, for a little immune support on days I’m feeling a bit run down.

Compression Socks

Compression socks are a must in my carry-on - gentle, graduated support that helps keep blood moving when you’re seat-bound for hours. I love the LUSSOBOUND compression socks - they did an excellent job at mitigating swelling completely on my recent Europe trip. And that was a huge deal for me, because I am prone to calf and ankle swelling during travel!

Smart Luggage

My go-to suitcase from LUSSOBOUND (the Elevate All Access Elite carry-on) is lightweight yet tough, with a front-opening laptop compartment, so you can grab what you need fast. This is a game-changer when it comes to removing electronics at the security section at the airport!

It also has a USB charging port, plus built-in water bottle and phone holders for hands-free, stress-free smooth transits.

Wired Headphones

I always use wired headphones, and especially during flights, to reduce any unnecessary Bluetooth/RF in already signal-dense airports and cabins. Bonus: no pairing and no charging.

Refillable Water Bottle

Skip the plastic bottles and bring a quality bottle you can fill wth clean water.

Moisturiser

Skin dehydrates quickly when you travel, so I always pack a nourishing natural moisturiser and lip balm. I love the MooGoo range, but there are plenty of lovely natural options out there - just keep it simple and reapply mid-flight.

Additional Tips for a Smooth Flight:

  • Shift your body clock: Eat and sleep on destination time as soon as you board. Morning light on arrival; dim light after local sunset.

  • Hydrate smart: Sip water regularly and add electrolytes; go easy on alcohol and super-salty snacks.

  • Move often: Stand, stretch, do ankle circles, and calf raises every hour to keep blood flowing.

  • Set up your seat: Use a small pillow or rolled jumper for lumbar support; change positions frequently.

  • Keep a mini kit handy: Wired headphones + 3.5 mm adapter, eye mask, earplugs, lip balm, moisturiser, sanitiser, pen.

  • Snack wisely: Protein + fibre (nuts, jerky, fruit) to steady energy and avoid sugar crashes.

  • Skin care ritual: Moisturiser after take-off; reapply mid-flight to beat cabin dryness.

  • Breathe and reset: A few slow rounds of 4-6 breathing (inhale 4, exhale 6) to calm nerves and support rest.

  • Easy access packing: Keep laptop, liquids and essentials in a front pocket or top compartment for smooth security checks.

  • Post-landing reboot: Walk in daylight, hydrate, stretch and keep bedtime consistent that first night.

Now, we're ready for takeoff!

I hope you've found my wellness tips for travel helpful for your next trip. Whether it be for work or play, why not try a few of the above and see how much small habits can make a big difference to your body and mind before, during and after takeoff!

Yours in health and vitality,

Candice
